Hi, i have spent a few hours with the information above and have managed to get my Baofeng GT-3TP working with my BF-888S's (New gen). Here is a.img file exported from Chirp with the correct Frequencies. Thanks to Giuseppebangi for the original information. Download, install and select the older Prolific v3.2.0.0 device driver. A link to the driver and instructions for installing and selecting it are here. Purchase a programming cable that is manufactured with a different brand of USB-to-TTL chip. The FTDI chip is popular for this reason. Modify your programming cable to have a different.
I just aquired a Baofeng BF-888s with programming lead and disk (CD) But no where on the disk is the software for my radio! I looked under kenwood H777 but no such file exsists! I tried online for the BF 480 software and upon downloading it - it came up with ??? ???? in each collumn of the spread sheet!! I tried to convert the ???? chinese into English but no again so i deleted the file!! Im running Windows XP service pak 3 and i also disabled my AVG software! And guess what!!!!!!! NOPE nothing worked yet again!!
